Court has fined the Kano Government 30 billion for Demolishing the buildings of the Eid Mosque

 The Federal High Court sitting in Gyadi-Gyadi in Kano has ordered the state government to pay 30 billion Naira to the Kantin kwari market who have shops in the grounds of the Idi Mosque at Kofar Mata for illegally demolishing their shops.

 While passing the sentence, Justice Simon Ameboda said that following the night and demolishing poor people's shops is an illegal activity full of brutality and malice, so the Government must pay the shopkeepers.

 Also, the court prevented the Kano Government from entering the lands and affecting the shops let alone giving them to someone else.
