Kano House of Assembly has uncovered financial scandals in Karota and other agencies in the state

The council requested the Karota administration to return more than 257 million naira to the Kano government fund.

Among the agencies that have been asked to return the money are the health board at the first level which will return more than 2 million naira and the nature board which will return more than 1 million naira.

This follows the report of the Committee on Government Expenditure presented by the Committee for the year 2021 in the Parliament session on Monday.

In the recommendations made by the committee led by its chairman Tukur Muhammad Fagge, he requested the authorities to return the money that went missing.

In the same way, the parliament will take action against those who are accused of not managing the money properly.

Speaking to the press, the chairman of the committee to monitor the way government funds are spent, the member of parliament representing Fagge, Tukur Muhammad, said that this is part of the report submitted by the state auditor to the parliament.

He said that every time the auditor finishes his work, he submits it to the parliament, and the parliament invites all the ministries that have been accused of not managing money properly.

He said that if the committee calls the authorities or the workers to defend themselves and fails to do so, then there is nothing left for the committee but to recommend the return of these funds.
